Just finished reading the Special Counsel’s letter and executive summaries of the Special Counsel report. Short version? If you have not read Mueller’s letter and the exec summs, you should. Clarifies a lot of misinformation.
I’m not gonna delve into each section of the Special Counsel’s exec summs nor am I going to say anything about “collusion” especially since the investigation had NOTHING to do with collusion (ya know, when one spends so much time making shit up, that shit can stick).
So, let me just post the Conclusion section of the Special Counsel’s exec summs, then you can decide if you, us, the American public, need to know more. Here ya go:
“Because we determined not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgment, we did not draw ultimate conclusions about the President’s conduct. The evidence we obtained about the President’s actions and intent presents difficult issues that would need to be resolved if we were making a traditional prosecutorial judgment. At the same time, if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”
My take? AG Barr did a great disservice presenting his own four page distillation of the Special Counsel’s report instead of sharing the Special Counsel’s exec summs which Mueller and Co prepared for public consumption.
To me, there’s so much unethical stink among all the actions taken by the Prez, his underlings, and others that it won’t shock me when, at some point down the road, ya know, that shit that’s been stickin’? Well, the fumes hit us upside our heads with such force that none us can rid ourselves of the stench.
